About Yes, We Can
We're fast approaching the season of bounteous harvests and furious preservation. It is time, once again, for to can!
How it works. Yes We Can is a community supported canning project. It's a hands-on opportunity to make creative preserved food and hang out with people of a similar culinary mindset. This year, Live Culture Co. and Eat Real Festival are teaming up to bring you the freshest way to learn time-honored food saving skills - Commando Canning.
What we can. Everything from peaches to pickled trotters (yes, that’s right, pigs feet!). This year’s line up includes: Peaches, Trotters, Garlic, Anchovies, Tomatoes and Wine Grape Jelly.
What we can. This year, we’re going straight to the source as we take Yes, We Can on the road, by traveling from farm to farm.
New this year. We'll also be inviting the fabulous Eat Real street food chefs to cook delicious lunches on site for the event participants.
Want to participate? Yes, YOU can too. Join our mailing list to learn about upcoming Yes We Can projects.

TROTTERS! JULY 16TH
Yes, We Can Trotters was fun for the pork enthusiast! We'll canned trotters two ways: pickling some and making "trotter gear," with the rest. Trotter Gear is an extraordinarily delicious, piggy gelatin perfect for cooking beans or stews (and made famous by Fergus Henderson of London's St. John Restaurant).
Special thanks to 51st State for the yummy Brunswick Stew and Texas cavier!
PEACHES! JUNE 26TH - SOLD OUT!
Yes We Can Peaches was a day-long excursion to the fertile acres of Capay Organic’s Farm in the Capay Valley. We made peach jam out of Brittany Lane and May Rich peach varieties, picked from the sunny orchards of Farm Fresh To You.
A big thank you to Le Truck for the delicious pork tacos and grilled peaches!
